Are you returning to school online this fall? We’ve rounded up some tips and strategies to help you start the year off on the right foot!

Create a Routine
Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day.
Set alarms to help you stay on track. If you have trouble waking up to an alarm, try Alarmy. It’s an app that forces you out of bed by having you perform certain tasks.
Structuring when you work will help you stay on track. Consider writing down a daily routine. Be sure to include some time for self-care (i.e. exercising, meals, chatting with friends).
Write down all of your major assignments and due dates at the beginning of the semester.
Be sure to update your calendar and to-do list daily.
Passion Planner is a fun option if you prefer the traditional pen and paper planner. If you like using an online calendar, check out Google Calendar since it easily syncs with Gmail and can send reminders.
Set up a Study Space
Explore if you work best with quiet or ambient noise. Maybe you like listening to music? Research shows that background music with no lyrics is optimal for long study sessions. Give it a try with this Youtube playlist.
Turn off your phone for set periods of time.
Set up an internet blocking app to help you stay away from time-wasting websites.
Find a distraction-free place to work (ideally not your bed).
