ONE WAY TO HEAT UP YOUR COLD WEATHER WARM-UPS
Your MOTION can change your EMOTION. Your MOVEMENT can change your MOOD. Your ACTIONS can change your ATTITUDE.
(I promise this is not a motivational message….keep reading)
Lower temperatures can often leave athletes FEELING like they can’t (or don’t want to) move fast or be powerful. Lucky for them, we have the power to overturn our thoughts and ‘trick’ our minds into doing what we want to do, actually. Including some sort of Neural Activation to the end of a warm-up routine can override those negative thoughts and actually get the mind (and body) to perform at a higher level than what it may have felt like just moments before.
Here’s a few examples of some simple CNS (Central Nervous System) exercises to mix into your routine:
It only takes 5-10 seconds of each exercise to get a heightened response from your nervous system and be better prepared for what comes next (power, speed, etc)
Try it out before your next power/explosive segment and let me know if you notice a difference in your first few reps.

COMING SOON… Working with me is about to get even easier!!! Over the next few weeks, I’ll be transitioning ALL my programming onto the Train Heroic platform which will simplify the way athletes receive and track their workouts. This will also allow me to monitor and support workouts in a number of other new, beneficial ways.
Those who join the KG2KM Squad will receive access to the Kilograms to Kilometers workout routine which will be updated monthly. This will be a general workout program for all members to follow and modification to the program can be discussed during the Strategy Session that comes with being a member of the community. Send me an email if you want to learn more about the KG2KM workout programs and other benefits that come with being a member for the KG2KM community.
Also, don’t forget to follow US S&C on Instagram, Facebook and (now) Tik Tok for updates and our #60SecondsOfKnowledge series
